Day 2 – 1400 Years of Religious History in St. Gallen

Following our arrival, we will enjoy a brief encounter with the 1400 year religious history of St. Gallen. After lunch, some rest, and once settled in our beautiful, four-star hotel in the heart of Switzerland, we will gather for a spectacular welcome dinner.
Day 3 – Medieval Relics and Zürich Culinary Experience
Friday September 14, 2022
Today, we will enjoy the rich culture of Lucerne, a city renown for well-preserved medieval architecture. Sights in Lucerne include a relic of the fourteenth century, the Musegg Wall, the oldest covered bridge in Europe built in 1533, the Chapel Bridge built in 1333, and the Lion Monument. After lunch, some free time, and a short drive, we will enjoy a wonderful Zürich Culinary Experience. By the end of the day, you are sure to begin to feel immersed in captivating Swiss culture.
Day 4 – Ah, Wonderful Taste of Switzerland

We will travel to the medieval town of Gruyères, renown for its culture and gastronomy. We will enjoy a tour of La Maison du Gruyère cheese dairy followed by lunch. After some free time to explore, we will tour a Swiss Chocolate Factory. Our day in Gruyères will offer an unsurpassed cultural and gastronomical experience.
Day 5 – A Beautiful Day in the Alps

We will travel to the beautiful Jungfrau Region. We will ascend to an altitude of 11,330 feet and the Top of Europe, where you may experience the Alpine Sensation, Sea of Ice, and the Ice Palace, as well as the 360° panoramic view of the Aletsch Glacier from the Sphinx Terrace. You may shop for a souvenir and enjoy the Lindt Chocolate Heaven. You can even try to win a fine Swiss watch by hitting a hole in one from the top of a mountain. This will surely be a beautiful day in the Alps.
Day 7 – 42nd Passionsspiele-Oberammerau
Tuesday September 19, 2022
We will enjoy breakfast at our hotel on the day of the Passion Play performance. The play takes place in two parts with a three hour intermission. During intermission, your three course dinner will include a choice of two menus. This Passion Play is performed only once a decade; for most of us, this will be a once in a lifetime experience.
Day 8 – Munich, Herzlich Willkommen!

We will depart for Munich in the morning, no doubt still moved by our experience of the Passion Play. We will enjoy a few sights in the culturally rich city of Munich before we check into our hotel in time for you to rest, relax or maybe even explore a bit before we gather for dinner.
Day 9 – Mystery Experience!

We believe your journey begins long before we go wheels up. We want to contribute to the joy of anticipating your journey by offering a Mystery Experience. Several months before your departure, you will receive a list of great possibilities for an experience in Munich, each so enticing, you will very likely want to enjoy them all. We will poll you and your fellow travelers well in advance of our departure. The experience you and your fellow travelers choose to enjoy will be kept a mystery until the day of our experience together.
Day 10 – The Hills are Alive

Millions of Americans have long associated the Austrian city of Salzburg with the Sound of Music. Seeing Mirabell Gardens may just bring out the child in you to the point of singing “Do-Re-Mi.” Whether or not you break into song, Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, is a city rich in history and culture sure to bring joy to your journey.
Day 11 – Oktoberfest!

For many, the world-famous celebration of Oktoberfest in Munich is on their bucket list. We will attend Oktoberfest a bit earlier in the day before more raucous revelers arrive later in the evening. Although most of us will return to the hotel, you will be welcome to stay or revisit Oktoberfest. Prost!
Day 12 The Formal End to Our Journey Together

The memories, perhaps most especially the once in a lifetime experience of the Passion Play, will indeed last a lifetime. We hope your conversation, and therefore your journey, will continue with your new friends. Our journey concludes, formally, with the departure of our flight home.

As consistent with the design of the trip details page, this will be section will be a template. One of the hallmarks of Purposeful Journeys will be the fact that there will always be a purpose for every journey.
Here, the purpose of the journey will be described. We will likely use two paragraphs to describe the purpose of the journey. The first paragraph will offer a very succinct description of the purpose. The second paragraph will expand on the purpose, but also include an introduction to our philosophy that explains how traveling with us means that we construct each itinerary as a narrative.

One word describes our intention for your journey: balance. We believe each place we visit should relate to whole story, the arc of a narrative. Too often, group travel can leave you feeling like you are part of a herd of a large group of strangers hustled from sight to sight, packing and unpacking everyday of your trip. With us you will stay in one beautiful base location that serves as a base for our excursions. Changing hotels as few times as possible during a journey allows greater opportunity to experience people and culture.

Discounts Available:
- A discount of $300 may be available when you apply.
- Make payments by check instead of credit card and receive a discount of $150.
- Receive a discount of $150 if you pay the cost of your journey in full before your first payment is due.
Your journey includes:
- Round trip coach class group airline ticket departing and returning from a designated major airport.
- Taxes and airline surcharges
- Deluxe coach transportation throughout your itinerary
- Double occupancy hotel room ($700 single supplement)
- Meals as specified in the final itinerary
- Admission fees as specified in the final itinerary
- Only goods, services, or activities as explicitly included in the General Terms and Conditions.
Your journey does not include:
- Gratuities for service staff, coach driver(s) and guides
- Alcoholic beverages, bottled water, after dinner drinks
- Travel insurance
- Any goods, services, or activities expressly excluded in the General Terms and Conditions.
Remittance Schedule:
- Deposit of $300 due with your application
- Payments due as specified in your remittance schedule.
- Final payment must be received no later than the date specified on your invoice and remittance schedule.
When approved as a fellow traveler…
…you will receive an invoice and a remittance schedule from Malone Clan Expeditions, LLC along with a link to a password protected page on our website that will offer details and updates about your journey.
General Terms and Conditions
Malone Clan Expeditions, LLC will administer your journey. You must accept the General Terms and Conditions at the time you submit your application. Please refer to the General Terms and Conditions for any applicable additional fees that may apply in certain situations and circumstances such as any deviation from the group flight itinerary or your requirement of a single room.
Please complete the application form. You will be prompted to submit a payment deposit of $300 with your application once your form is complete with all required fields. We are delighted you are taking the step of submitting your application to become a member of a journey with us. We look forward to notifying you of your acceptance as a fellow traveler.
