In the nearly 400 years since the first presentation in 1634, the Passion Play has been canceled or postponed just four times. The Passion Play was last postponed more than 100 years ago. With the disappointment of 2020 behind us, the 42nd presentation in 2022 promises to be especially joyful as the people of Oberammergau are so looking forward to welcoming you.
We have seven dates available in 2022 for journeys featuring the Passion Play. You may adopt one of our itineraries or we will work with you to create a unique travel experience built around the interests of you and your group. Sharing the Passion Play experience with congregation members promises the potential to breathe even more life and vitality into your ministry.
As a journey host, you may be interested in sharing your passion for history with others, simply sharing enjoyment of European culture that includes tastes of Swiss chocolate, cheese, and Lutheran Tea while deepening relationships, or you may identify another travel experience and purpose for travel that benefits the group of fellow travelers who join you as a journey host.
